My partner’s mother Is currently staying with us and she is sick, her legs have been amputated. We need a career to assist us at home. Can l sponsor my brother or my relative on a Carer visa to assist caring for my mother-in-law?

Hi Yaw,

Yes you can apply for Carer Visa (116) to bring your relative to take care of mother in law if her medical condition has been assessed by Bupa Medical Visa Services as being one which significantly affects her in attending to the practical aspects of daily life and which will need direct care for at least two year. If you get positive assessment from Bupa then you can apply for carer visa for your relative to come to Australia which gives him/her right to stay in Australia indefinitely.
